Set out and explore the remarkable beauty and picturesque scenery of Lamington National Park and the infamous O’Reilly’s Rain Forrest Retreat. This is an unforgettable adventure and opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Australia’s enigmatic wildlife. Your day begins when we pick you and your group up from your Gold Coast accommodation and begin the journey up the mountain. Travel through the scenic valley and eucalyptus forest and enjoy city and coastal views as we make our way to O’Reilly’s. A quick stop in Canungra Village at a local café for morning tea with scones with jam and cream. Then we get back on the road as you relax and enjoy the views as we travel through the valley to the summit of World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park, part of the largest continuous, subtropical rainforest anywhere on earth. At O’Reilly’s you will enjoy a guided treetop walk with a bird eye view of the rainforest on the tree top walk consisting of 9 suspension bridges led by your friendly experienced local guide, then its on to the Birds of Prey show where you will see various birds of prey performing natural behaviours in this unforgettable wildlife experience. You will be amazed by the aerial acrobatics of a kite, impressed by the majesty of an eagle, or fall in love with a ‘crowd favourite’ owl. Don’t forget to slip your hand into a glove for an Instagram worthy snap with one of your new feathered friends after the show. We will then make our way back to the Gold Coast at Kamuran lookout, in ideal location to get a panoramic photo with 300-degree views across the valley of the Scenic Rim and Gold Coast. The return journey provides a chance to sit back and relax enjoying sweeping views of the valleys and surrounding mountain ranges.
