DAY TRIP TO MULLUMBIMBY, CRYSTAL CASTLE AND BYRON BAY
Revel in the relaxed country atmosphere, big skies and scenic views of rural Queensland and New South Wales. On this trip you will have an opportunity to explore the charming and quirky character town of Mullumbimby and beautiful gardens, semi-precious stone selections, handmade curios and tranquil walking trails of Crystal Castle. At crystal Castle you can also enjoy an unforgettable sound journey in the peace dome set in the 10-hectare tropical gardens. Finally, we will make our way to the famous Byron Bay, a stunning beach town where you can enjoy the afternoon, walk the beach, soak up the sun or explore the local artisanal eateries and boutique outlets Byron Bay is famous for.

Custom pick-up location available with prior notice.
Return to Gold Coast between 5:00pm and 5:30pm.
Tour Duration: 9 hours approx.
What to bring:
Comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, rain jacket, hat, water bottle (filled with water).
Additional note:
All our vehicles carry umbrellas, insect repellent and first aid kits. This tour is NOT suitable for children under five years of age (no exceptions). Please note there is NO luggage/pram/stroller storage in the vehicle. A small day backpack can be accommodated.
Access:
The tour involves some optional walking. There are a number of walking trails which include stairs you need to navigate to explore the gardens at Crystal Castle which are all well-maintained, however require a moderate degree of fitness. The track is not suitable for people with mobility impairment or infants.
Inclusions:
Pick up and drop off to the Gold Coast, entry to Crystal Castle and sound journey experience. Food and beverages are not included.
Ticket Refund:
Wyldside may alter or cancel any section of any of the itinerary which may result from road closures, bad weather, suppliers or any other condition of an operational nature. Tickets will be refunded in full if the tour must be cancelled for any reason. However, no refunds will be offered for tickets unless the tour is cancelled. Tickets are not transferable.

What do I need to bring?Apart from yourself and your smile, please wear clothing suitable for outdoor water activities. Water shoes or flip flops are recommended, along with drinking water, a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses. IF you don't have a dry bag, we can provide one for storing your personal items so they don't get wet. Don't forget a full water bottle and a waterproof camera for any photos you might want to take on the tour!

Where is the meeting & launch point?We launch just beside the Ian Dipple Lagoon, just north of Charis Seafoods. If this should change for any reason, we'll let you know in advance. Staying at a nearby hotel? Hotel pick-ups can be arranged with prior notice. After booking your tour, please message or call us to confirm your pick-up location.

Are Wyldside kayaking tours suitable for children?Our tours are not suitable for children under 12 years of age. We do not provide children's kayaks or children's life jackets, and the tour duration and some kayaking and snorkelling sections are not suitable for children. Please ensure compliance with this requirement, as no refund will be provided if a ticket is booked for a child under 12, resulting in any member of your group being unable to join the kayaking tour.

What is the duration of the tour?The typical duration of our Wyldside kayaking tours is around 2.5 to 4 hours, depending on the specific tour and the locations visited. This includes travel time to and from shore, as well as ample time at our snorkelling stop and any other stop(s) to explore, take photos, and enjoy water activities. Tour times will be provided in your tour confirmation. Please note while we aim to be as punctual as possible, tour times are approximate and unforeseen and circumstances such as inclement weather and tides can cause delays.

What if the weather is bad on the day of the tour?Our kayaking tours are entirely weather dependent, and we will only take you out on the water if it is safe to do so. In case of severe weather that makes it unsafe to enter the water or participate in water activities, we will cancel the tour and refund your ticket. We recommend bringing appropriate clothing and gear for various weather conditions to ensure your comfort throughout the day.
